ADDS - Satellite Help Page (1 of 3)
Back to Satellite Page or SATELLITE help page 2
The Satellite Page contains 2 major sections.
  • The first section contains links to National- and regional-scale satellite images from the GOES-8 satellite. Images are provided for 3 of the different wavelength sensors on the satellite.
  • The next section contains links to satellite images with LIFR/IFR/VFR/MVFR icons overlayed.
There is a wealth of knowledge about satellites, images, and data on the world wide web. An excellent page was written by David Johnson of NCAR that describes weather satellites and orbits.
